Love
Lives
Written
by Ronnie Samoset & Keith Hinton
There’s
a lady living downtown with rags on her feet
Her whole life’s in a shopping cart she’s pushing down
the street
She’s picking through the remnants of other people’s lives
As she searches for some little thing that might help her survive
She stops beside an old man shivering in the cold
And she gives her only blanket that’s worth more to her than
gold
Chorus:
Love Lives in a heart that understands
The universal language spoken with a glance
Love Lives forever in a kiss
When someone finds there’s some way to forgive...Love lives
In a
chapel on the border where the gangs divide the town
There’s a couple from opposing sides in a tux and wedding gown
A fragile truce is holding long enough for them to vow
That they will bond together and cross the line somehow
When the ceremony’s over one leader takes his stand
Walks over to the other, reaches out and shakes his hand
(Repeat
Chorus)
We are
constantly surrounded
In a world that seems so blind
But if we open up our hearts
And look around we’re sure to find
(Repeat
Chorus)
Loves
Lives forever in a kiss
Love Lives everytime you can forgive...Love Lives
